OWNERSHIP HISTORY

Siskiwit on Lake Superior from 1989-1991.

In June 1992, Siskiwit took departure of Lake Superior and cruised all of the Great Lakes, the Oswego and Erie Barge Canals, Hudson River, Long Island Sound and offshore as far North as Maine. With the third week of September, Siskiwit cast off from Castine, Maine, bound for Ft. Lauderdale. Siskiwit took departure of Ft. Lauderdale December 8 bound for Gun Cay, Bahamas. She spent the six months cruising the Out Islands of the Bahamas, retuning to Gloucester Point, Virginia, in June 1993. March 21, 1995, Siskiwit took departure from Beaufort, NC, for direct passage to Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas, making the trip under spinnaker for four of the five days underway. Siskiwit remained in the Bahamas through March of 1998, either on a mooring ball or on the hard at Abaco Yacht Services in Black Sound, Abaco. In April 1998, Siskiwit returned to Ft. Lauderdale and River Bend Marina for repairs to her deck. Siskiwit returned to Parker’s Boat Yard, Red Hook Harbor, Cataumet, Massachusetts, in the fall 1999. The following fall, Siskiwit took departure for the Chesapeake Bay. The owner lived aboard year-round at City Dock, Annapolis, and summered back in Red Hook Harbor, Massachusetts. In the fall of 2003, the owner singlehanded Siskiwit to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Siskiwit returned via to the Chesapeake in the fall of 2005. Between 2005 – 2011 Siskiwit remained on the hard at Coan River Marina, VA. In late fall 2011; she was sailed to Charleston, SC. Over the winter of 2013, she was on the hard at Pierside Boat Yard; Charleston for a rebuild of her engine, she launched in May 2013 bound for Wilmington, NC.

The immediate previous owner, Ron Dwelle, was an editor of Practical Sailor and Prudence P Fishpaws was featured in numerous articles from 1987 to 1989. During his ownership, the Prudence P completed a Newport-Bermuda Race and later was brought into the Great Lakes. She summered in North Channel and Manitoulin Island in 1988 and 1989.

Prior owners had Shoo Shoo with hailing ports of City Island, New York, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
